Hazelnut and saffron open Leather Nuit warm, nutty and spiced from the first spray — not a citrus fragrance easing in, a resinous one arriving at full weight. Patchouli, oud wood and amber take over the heart, smoky and deep, doing most of the composition's real work. The base is where the name earns itself: leather, vanilla and labdanum settle in dark and resinous, warm rather than sweet. Nutty and spiced at the top, smoky and woody through the middle, leather holding it there long after the opening's gone.
